Hawick becomes news story centre of the Borders
Apparently Hawick High Street is to become a one way street. Quite how this is worthy of publication on the BBC News Website above the Berwick UFO is beyond me.....Of note, however, is that it's said to be cheaper to implement a ban on HGVs than installing a one-way system, according to SBC roads people at least.

Hurrah. This is the route we always take and avoids seeing too much of that dreadful statue in the middle of the road. Keep the Reivers where they belong. In the 14th century.

First of all - get a grip. A real road problem that actually exists is more newsworthy than what is probably another pathetic UFO hoax. Second of all - if all history was kept in the past, what would we use to educate? Think twice before being so narrow-minded.
