The blog has a bike
The Paper Boy decided over Christmas that he needed to get fitter - so has acquired a bike after a hiatus approaching 20 years.
The machine arrived today and has been assembled. Despite the subzero temperature, the snow/hail mix falling and it being dark I took it out for a quick spin (with appropriate lights of course) around the block.
Distance covered 1.5km, maximum speed attained 23km/h.
The initial plan is to make short trips (½ hour or so) daily to the local country park and back and as fitness levels improve increase the duration. This post is here purely to shame myself in to persevering with the new regime.
